Our client is a well-established provider of power generation solutions, delivering high-quality generators, control systems, and electrical services across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. As they continue to expand, they’re seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to help drive growth across key market segments and build long-term customer relationships.
The Role
This is a pivotal, client-facing role focused on expanding sales of generator systems, power solutions, and associated electrical products. You’ll manage a mix of new business development and account management, engaging with electrical contractors, consultants, builders, facility managers, and end users.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of generators and power systems, paired with commercial acumen and the ability to translate customer needs into tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
Manage and grow existing client relationships through proactive service and solution-based selling.
Prepare proposals, tenders, and quotations for generator sales and installation projects.
Collaborate with internal engineers, project managers, and service teams to ensure project success.
Attend site visits, trade events, and industry expos to represent the company.
Maintain accurate sales pipelines and report on market trends and competitor activity.
Experience Required
Proven experience in sales or business development within the electrical, generator, or power systems industry.
Strong technical understanding of diesel or gas generators, switchboards, or electrical control systems.
Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels — from site managers to consultants.
Commercially astute with experience in project-based or solution sales.
Self-motivated and able to work autonomously while contributing to a wider team.
Electrical trade background or engineering knowledge highly regarded.
Salary and Benefits
$100k-$130k Base | Super | Car | Comms
