With a strong reputation for precision-engineering and customer-centric support, we’re looking for an experienced sales or business-development professional to join the team and help drive our next phase of growth.

Role Description
As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities within the construction, floor-preparation and concrete-cutting/drilling markets. This role offers flexibility, the successful candidate can be based anywhere across Melbourne, with full support and setup provided to operate effectively within your designated territory. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to understand client needs, present tailored solutions, manage key accounts and contribute to the overall sales strategy. You will act as a technical advisor to clients, maintain product knowledge, undertake site visits, generate quotations, negotiate contracts, and deliver on sales targets. You will also monitor market trends, competitor activity, and assist in shaping product and service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets in your territory.

Identify and develop new business leads—both through cold-calling and existing networks—within the construction, concrete cutting/drilling, floor-preparation and tooling sectors.

Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, sub-contractors, hire houses, distributors and resellers.

Conduct technical presentations and on-site demonstrations of equipment and tooling to showcase product value, performance and suitability.

Understand client requirements, specify appropriate solutions, prepare proposals/quotations and negotiate terms to secure orders.

Manage key accounts to ensure retention and growth, including servicing existing customers, identifying upsell opportunities and coordinating with internal service/repair teams.

Monitor market developments, competitive offerings and emerging technologies to provide feedback and influence product & service development.

Coordinate with internal teams such as marketing, service, product management and logistics to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and high customer satisfaction.

Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management and report regularly to senior leadership on performance, opportunities and risks.

Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of equipment, tooling, safety standards and industry best practice.

Salary and Benefits

Base $90k - $120k | Company Car | Super 12% | Commission
