Your New Role
As the Mechanical Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical engineers in the design and delivery of building services projects. This includes managing resources, overseeing quality assurance, mentoring staff, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. You'll also play a key role in client liaison, strategic planning, and contributing to the growth and reputation of the business. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading discipline design and documentation from concept to completion
• Managing team resourcing, performance reviews, and professional development
• Chairing discipline meetings and training sessions

• Ensuring QA processes and documentation standards are upheld
• Supporting business development through client retention and proposal preparation

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 10 years' industry experience, including team leadership
• Strong technical expertise in HVAC and building services design
• Proven ability to manage projects across all lifecycle stages
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring skills
• Knowledge of current codes, standards, and sustainability practices
• Professional accreditation / Chartership is highly desirable
