Join a high-growth fintech scaling up fast. We’re looking for a pragmatic and adaptable Engineering Team Lead to shape our engineering practice and drive technical decision-making across key initiatives.
The Role
This is a hybrid leadership role — expect to spend 30–40% of your time hands-on coding, with the remainder focused on architecture, mentoring, and driving team performance.
You’ll be the technical backbone for one of our product squads, helping guide architectural direction, build robust solutions, and establish engineering best practices. We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is flexible in their approach, and can help mature our engineering culture without bringing unnecessary rigidity.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with product and principal engineers to break down high-level ideas into a clear, deliverable backlog;
- Make architecture and design decisions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance;
- Provide hands-on technical leadership while still contributing to codebases (.NET-focused);
- Mentor and guide a team of talented engineers to reach high performance;
- Foster an adaptable, business-aligned, and collaborative engineering culture;
- Own incident response and ensure consistent product quality; and
- Continuously improve engineering processes and standards.
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years software engineering experience, ideally in .NET environments;
- Experience leading engineering teams or projects with technical authority;
- Strong understanding of event-driven architecture, microservices, and domain-driven design;
- Comfortable making technical decisions and translating them into business value;
- Skilled in Agile delivery and working cross-functionally with product teams;
- Pragmatic, humble, and able to adapt quickly to change; and
- A champion of clean code, testing, and engineering best practices.
