The Customer Service Administrator will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the secretarial and business support department within the industrial and manufacturing industry. This permanent role is based in Preston and requires strong organisational skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Description

  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain and update customer records with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to address customer needs and resolve issues effectively.
  • Prepare and process orders, invoices, and other related documentation.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels in collaboration with the warehouse team.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings and appointments as required.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements for enhanced efficiency.

Profile

A successful Customer Service Administrator should have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role, ideally within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with order processing systems or CRM software (desirable).
  • A commitment to providing high-quality service and meeting deadlines.
