Wizard Windows & Doors manufacture the full suite of AWS systems including Vantage, Elevate and Thermal Heart products. We are looking for a Production Manager with experience in manufacturing aluminium and doors to lead our production team.
Wizard is a family-owned business with an extensive experience in and understanding of AWS.

We have a small and skilled team doing bespoke architectural projects throughout South East Queensland. If you have a keen eye for detail and experience in overseeing a wide-variety of projects we'd love to hear from you.

Duties

Manage the production schedules, quality, safety and cost standards to achieve agreed optimum factory efficiency.

Ensure all plant and machinery within the factory is serviceable, with regular maintenance schedules in place and implemented.

Ensure all required extrusion, glass and other components are ordered for each project.

Develop and make recommendations regarding improved operational processes that ensure productivity levels, quality control procedures and other necessary standards (including AWS specifications as detailed in their technical/workshop manuals) are maintained at or above the minimum set levels.

Manage and co-ordinate the implementation of corporate policies and procedures, including the recruitment, training and staff development of factory employees.

Establish and maintain positive employee and customer relationships.

Prepare production management reports as agreed, including operational efficiency and stock levels against budgeted targets, within the agreed timeframes.

Supervise the manufacture of aluminium windows & doors to AWS specifications and technical manuals, including cutting, machining, punching, assembling and glazing.

Handling of glass in a safe and responsible manner.

Read, interpret & understand technical manuals, cutting lists and instructions.

Loading and unloading of delivery and despatch trucks.

Carry out machinery maintenance and perform clean up duties as directed.

The employee may be required to undertake a variety of other tasks, both skilled and semi-skilled, or carry out some other task which is not specifically within their traditional role, provided the task is within the employees’ core skill competencies and legal requirements.
