Your Role

Reporting to the Head of Product Development, you’ll lead compliance across the full product lifecycle, from design to launch. You’ll establish governance frameworks, manage IP, and ensure compliance with local and international regulations. You’ll also liaise directly with regulators and patent attorneys and be the key voice for process governance and risk management across our product development team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and refining product development governance processes
• Mapping regulatory and statutory requirements across jurisdictions
• Managing intellectual property strategy and stakeholder engagement
• Writing and presenting reports to steering committees and regulatory bodies
• Supporting cross-functional teams in aligning innovation with compliance

Your Background & Experience

We're looking for someone with a rare blend of technical, legal, and commercial acumen; ideally from a background in energy, mining, or industrial innovation.

• Experience managing compliance in product development, ideally within energy or mining
• Knowledge of IP law and governance, with experience liaising with patent attorneys
• Strong report writing and process mapping skills
• A degree in Law, Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years’ experience in a technical, legal or compliance role
• Confident communicator, capable of interfacing with regulators and senior stakeholders
