About the role

Hunter River Hotel is seeking experienced Chef(s) to join our team in East Maitland, NSW. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our guests in a fast-paced, full-service hotel environment. This is a full-time role, with opportunities for career growth and development within our organization.

Kitchen hands with food handling experience would be advantageous

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of meals from our diverse menu

Ensuring all dishes are presented to the highest standard

Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards

Assisting with inventory management and ordering of supplies

Contributing to the development of new menu items

Providing excellent customer service to hotel guests

Collaborating with the kitchen team to deliver a seamless dining experience

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Chef in a hotel, restaurant or similar high-volume food service environment

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation

Excellent time management and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Food safety certification (e.g. HACCP) and a current NSW RSA certificate
