Position Description
The Funding & Partnerships Manager for Fair Game Australia is responsible for increasing and enhancing the range of opportunities for the Australian community to financially support the work of Fair Game Australia including the development, delivery and review of effective corporate and community fundraising strategies and securing grant funding to build income. The position plays an important role in ensuring that Fair Game can sustainably grow its impact.
The role will also provide essential administrative support for Fair Game’s funding programs, ensuring high standard funding applications and acquittals; liaison with donors to provide a positive and respectful experience; and identifying and nurturing new income opportunities.

This role will have lots of variety but there will be a few key activities that you will need to undertake, such as:
Continually monitoring and executing an agreed strategy to grow philanthropic and corporate sponsorship programs
Actively seeking out new philanthropic and partnership prospects
Managing and growing current partnerships
Providing high quality relationship management for donors, partners, the public and other stakeholders
Identifying and submitting funding applications in line with strategic goals
Developing and implementing a community fundraising strategy
What success will look like:
Strengthening of current funding partnerships
Development of new funding sources in line with Fair Game’s purpose
Growth of Fair Game’s funding through philanthropic and corporate sponsorship programs
Experience, Capabilities and Skills
Degree in relevant discipline (eg Commerce, Business, PR) or a tertiary degree and relevant business experience
At least 5+ years’ experience in the philanthropic or corporate fundraising sector with demonstrable results in fundraising, grant writing, communications, , donor acquisition and management.
Demonstrated experience in the successful preparation of funding applications.
Demonstrated proficiency in preparing, managing, and reporting on project budgets to support funding and partnership outcomes.
Demonstrated experience with related software applications and platforms eg. Online donation platforms
High level of attention to detail and excellent time management
A flexible approach responsive to changing priorities
Excellent language, communication (both written and oral) and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation and pitching skills
Ability to work effectively in a team
Current Australian Driver’s License
