Overview
The Food Environments Team at Edith Cowan University's Nutrition & Health Innovation Research Institute manages multiple food and environment research projects that form a diverse program of work. Their research spans various aspects of food systems, policy interventions, community health initiatives, and investigations into environmental factors that influence nutrition outcomes. This breadth of research requires coordinated program management to ensure successful delivery across all funded projects while fostering collaboration between different research streams.
The role
As the Strategic Program Manager you will support the Food Environment Team's ambitious research agenda and ensure the successful delivery of our funded projects while maximising opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and research impact across the nutrition and health sectors. The role will support a diverse portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment and maximising the collective impact of our research efforts.
About you
You will have proven experience in managing complex, multi-project programs, preferably within academic or research environments. You should possess excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across government, academic, and community sectors.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with experience in risk management and strategic planning.
You will be someone who thrives in collaborative environments and can effectively communicate with diverse audiences, from research teams to senior executives and external partners. A background in nutrition, health, or related fields would be advantageous, though strong program management expertise is the primary requirement.
Benefits & Remuneration
This part-time fixed term position is being offered at 06 FTE – 0.8 FTE depending on your availability. Rostered hours are negotiable. The role attracts a competitive salary of HEW 8 $119,069pa - $134,108pa (pro-rata) and will usually start at the bottom of the range and progress through the levels annually. ECU also pays 17% University superannuation contribution.
