The position
In this key leadership role, you will spearhead HelpingMinds’ development initiatives by leading fundraising, partnership, and procurement strategies during a milestone chapter in our journey. You’ll work alongside a passionate Executive team, including the CEO, to create new opportunities, deepen donor and partner engagement, and secure sustainable funding that supports long-term impact. Responsibilities of the role (not limited to):
- Lead and execute business development strategies aligned with HelpingMinds' vision and values.
- Identify and secure funding from government, corporate, and philanthropic sources.
- Cultivate partnerships and oversee fundraising, donor engagement, and sponsorship initiatives, particularly in support of our 50th anniversary.
- Prepare compelling grant applications and tender submissions in collaboration with internal teams.
About You
You have proven experience in business development and fundraising, with a strong network in community and not-for-profit sectors. Strategic and values-driven, you excel at building relationships and managing grants to create lasting impact.
Desirable Selection Criteria
- Tertiary Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Marketing or a related field (highly desirable)
- A Diploma of Business (Business Development) may be considered if business development experience is 5+ years
Candidates will also have:
- National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Proof of Australian Working Rights
- Current Driver's license
