The Opportunity

This is a 12-month max term position, based at our head office in Mooloolaba.

We are seeking a Quality & Compliance Officer to join our team. The position involves providing auditing support across both the NDIS and Child Safety services. The primary purpose is to ensure Thrive House is compliant with obligations and practice standards, and maintain associated quality control documents.

What You'll Do

Assist in the development, review and maintenance of Thrive House quality control documents and register

Conduct regular planned audits to ensure that our documents, policies, and procedures are current and compliant

Undertake internal compliance audits and assessments in consultation with the Practice Leads and Executive Management team

Assist in identifying and implementing continuous improvement across the organisation

Preparing reports for management on all departments and identifying non-compliance issue

Maintain company compliance registers

Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness and compliance with all applicable department regulations

Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions

Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

✔ A minimum of two years in a similar position

✔ High level literacy and attention to details

✔ Intermediate experience using Microsoft office suite

✔ Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a diverse range of people including strong negotiation and facilitation skills

✔ Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, clients, service providers, Thrive House and stakeholders relating to the organisation.

✔ Deliver accurate and timely auditing reports.

Compliance & Other Requirements

✅ Australian working rights.
✅ Current QLD driver’s licence (reasonable adjustments will be made for stable medical conditions which allow the inherent requirements of the role to be performed safely).
✅ Hold or have the ability to obtain an LCS check, Blue Card, and Yellow Card.
