The opportunity

Vacenti is seeking a Full-time Quality and Compliance Manager to join Senior Leadership Team at our Mount Gravatt head office, QLD. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this person is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and legislative requirements.

This position is integral to fostering a culture of best practice, continuous improvement, safety and high-quality outcomes for residents. The role involves leading and championing Vacenti’s commitment to exceptional care and adherence to regulatory requirements.

The Quality and Compliance Manager works collaboratively with all levels of senior executive, home management, other staff and relevant external agencies.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Day to day surveillance and monitoring of quality and compliance activities.

Undertake quality audits, observational assessments and investigations at Homes.

Take receipt of escalated complaints, proactively communicate, investigate and respond.

Prepare responses to external complaints (ACQSC), requests for information and other requests.

Oversee open disclosure approaches to feedback management, ensuring sound clinical documentation.

Collate resident surveys, audit results and feedback and communicate insights and areas for improvement.

Stay informed on the changes relating to the industry and ensure that key stakeholders are trained adequately to meet the requirements of those changes.

Implement policies and procedures related to quality and compliance, in collaboration with stakeholders.

Submit data and reports to stakeholders and online portals.

Communicate effectively with all staff, residents, families and stakeholders.

Implement quality assurance programs to enhance the overall quality of care.

Identify opportunities for growth and improvement, while developing and implementing strategic plans for long-term success.

To be successful in this position you will need:

Bachelor’s degree in health administration, Nursing, or a related field.

Qualifications in aged care or compliance management are advantageous.

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the aged care sector with a strong understanding of legislative, compliance and quality systems.

Proven experience in clinical governance, accreditation processes, and regulatory
compliance.

Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in digital systems and clinical documentation.

Valid driver’s license, own transport, and satisfactory police clearance.
