Sunshine Coast Orthopaedic Care, a leading orthopaedic clinic, seeks a medical receptionist to join our team in the heart of the health care precinct in Birtinya.

Your role

Taking incoming calls and responding to patient inquiries in a courteous and professional manner

Meeting and greeting patients in a compassionate manner

Scheduling patient appointments

Patient billing

Experience with Medicare billing and private health insurance claiming systems

General administrative support to the team

About you

Experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential

Minimum 2 years' experience in medical reception preferred, though exceptional candidates with less experience considered

Ability to use medical software, have basic information technology skills in relation to Windows software and office equipment

Experience with Genie or similar medical practice management software required

· Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders

· A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality care

· A positive, friendly, and empathetic attitude
