Part-Time Trust Accountant/Bookkeeper with experience in MYOB
A critical role in a respected legal practice
You’ll be the in-house Trust and General Accountant/Bookkeeper, working closely with the Director to ensure trust accounts, payroll, financial reporting, and general accounting obligations are managed with precision and care.
This is a part-time, permanent role working 20–25 hours per week, with flexibility around scheduling. You’ll be based onsite at the firm’s Hawthorn office.
Your key responsibilities:
Full management of trust accounts in line with legal and regulatory requirements
Payroll processing, superannuation, and employee entitlements
Managing invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting
End-of-month and year-end financial reports for review by the Director
Cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and compliance tracking
Maintaining licenses and audit readiness
Identifying opportunities for system and process improvements
What you’ll bring to the role:
Experience managing trust accounts in a legal or professional services firm
Confidence with MYOB, trust accounting systems (e.g. LEAP or Affinity), and Microsoft Excel
Strong general accounting, reporting, and payroll experience
A proactive, self-managed approach to work
Clear communication and the ability to liaise directly with the firm’s Director
