About this role

As the Student Experience Coordinator, your role is to foster a positive and thriving student experience both face to face and online by coordinating and delivering a comprehensive extra-curricular program for all students. As a pivotal member of the student life & ICMS team, you’ll lead the charge in creating a vibrant campus life for our diverse student community in the areas of sport, social activities & activations, social and cultural engagement and Orientation whilst also assisting in big College events such as Graduation across all ICMS campuses.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in event management, demonstrating their ability to conceptualise, plan, and execute large-scale events that resonate with students. Your passion for fostering inclusive environments and your knack for anticipating student needs will be key in driving student engagement and satisfaction This role is also responsible for managing, and working with, the Student Representative Council and all its connected clubs and associations.

This is a full-time opportunity (38 hrs) for an initial fixed term of 2 years.

Example accountabilities:

• Create engaging and effective orientation programs (face to face and online) for all intakes and brands on all campuses
• Deliver a vibrant program of sporting, recreational, cultural, and social activities for both online and face to face students across all campuses
• Develop and assist the Student Representative Council (SRC) and its connected student clubs and associations
• Plan and execute wellness activities regularly as a part of the wider College activities calendar
• Manage student communication via the weekly newsletter, campus posters (digital / physical), social media and ICMS app page to keep students engaged and informed of what is happening on all campuses and online
• Provide accurate and professional advice to students on policies and procedures regarding all queries

About you

• A flexible approach to work with willingness to work weekends and evenings as required
• Ability to lead and manage groups of students in sporting, social and cultural activities, events and functions.
• Holds First Aid, RSA and Working with Children Check qualifications or willing to obtain
• Able to multi task whilst applying customer service concepts
• Experienced working in a similar role, possibly in higher education, sports or recreation
