Core Engineering Group is a fast-growing fire engineering consultancy with a passion for safety, sustainability, and smart systems. Based in Sydney, we’re building out a high-functioning operations team to support our next phase of growth—and we need someone who thrives on coordination, structure, and making a real impact.

This role is perfect for someone who:

What you’ll do:
Coordinate internal projects, tasks, and timelines using Monday.com
Prepare and edit reports and support client/project communications
Provide high-level scheduling and administrative support to our Directors
Assist in HR, onboarding, travel and office logistics
Process and track project invoicing, assist with finance admin & coordinate with clients and project managers to ensure the timely payment of project invoices.
Support the rollout of strategic projects, system upgrades and process improvements
Maintain records, track project deliverables, and assist with internal systems & development
Support and mirror broader administrative and operational functions as required, contributing flexibly as the business grows
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: 1–3 years' experience in operations, admin, or project coordination
Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and confidence managing competing priorities
Mindset: Proactive and forward-thinking—you don’t wait to be told, you anticipate needs, spot inefficiencies, and take initiative to solve them
Tech-savvy: Comfortable with learning new systems, harness your AI capabilities and as well as back-end processes (experience with platforms like Monday.com, SharePoint, or Xero is a plus!)
