About the business

We are a well established wholesale fashion company based in Lane Cove with an exciting opening for a Production Coordinator who has experience in the fashion industry.

In this role you will be accountable for managing the critical path from development, through production to final customer delivery and will work closely with the Account Manager.

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing each step of the production process from costing, order confirming, indent raising, critical path management to final delivery including support to the sales account manager.

This is a full time role, based in the Lane Cove office.

The role would suit a fashion lover and would be an excellent pathway in the fashion industry working in an enjoyable, fun small team environment.

Responsibilities will include;

Working closely with the Sales Account Manager

Maintaining and building long term supplier relationships and have experience in dealing with garment manufacturers

Costing of new styles with factories

Liaising with buyers / Senior Account Manager on costings, styling and production requirements

Communicating concise tech packs to suppliers, raising indents, managing the critical path with suppliers.

Managing all production communication with factories relating to production and delivery

Management of all aspects of the critical path using the company MST system, inclusive of tracking production, shipments and managing customer deliveries

Negotiating extensions when necessary

Participating in weekly production meetings

Facilitating the QA process, attending internal fit sessions with garment tech

Checking samples from suppliers and preparing them for submission to customers

Assisting Account Manager with submissions to customer

Ensuring the effective communication of QA results to suppliers timeously and accurately.

Keeping the Senior Account Manager updated with production issues.

Managing the claims process with the suppliers.

Skills and experience

Possess a tertiary education in production management or equivalent

Have experience in working with offshore suppliers.

Min 3 years’ experience working in fashion production coordination

Must have strong technical, fabric and garment construction knowledge

Excellent time management skills, ability to manage a challenging workload and meet tight deadlines.
