Kings Beach Surf Club, located at the northern end of Kings Beach, with stunning views of the iconic Kings Beach Pool, is renowned for its quality meals, exceptional customer service, and breathtaking scenery. We are currently seeking an energetic, experienced Head Chef to lead our dynamic kitchen team.

About the Role:

As the Head Chef, reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our kitchen operations. Your responsibilities will include:

- Creating kitchen rosters while adhering to labour cost percentages

- Managing the ordering and monthly stock takes, ensuring profitability

- Training and developing kitchen staff

- Designing and costing menus that align with our budget and market demand

- Collaborating closely with the Managers to create event menus

- Upholding food safety standards

- Maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- Relevant trade qualifications

- At least 5 years of experience as a Head Chef post-trade qualification

- A strong team player mindset with leadership and team encouragement abilities

- Creativity and imagination in menu planning

- A reliable employment history

- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills

- A calm and professional demeanour
