Are you an experienced Head Chef ready to take full ownership of a kitchen, lead a strong team, and help shape the next phase of a well-established venue? At Ricks Garage, we’re offering a full-time position with Sundays and Mondays off, a solid support system, and room to grow.

We're known for burgers and diner classics, but change is on the horizon. With kitchen renovations scheduled and a new dinner offering in development, we’re gearing up for an exciting shift—and we’re looking for the right Head Chef to be part of it from the start.

This is a leadership role with long-term potential. For the right person, there’s a clear path toward an Executive Chef position as the venue continues to evolve.

Your Responsibilities

Run day-to-day kitchen operations with a focus on consistency and quality

Build and mentor a skilled team with a positive, collaborative culture

Drive food cost and stock control while managing kitchen labour effectively

Maintain strong food safety and compliance standards

Bring new ideas to the table and lead future menu changes

Support the launch of new kitchen systems and offerings as renovations are completed

What We're Looking For

Experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a high-volume venue

Strong leadership skills and a clear, calm approach in a fast-paced setting

Confidence with kitchen financials and operational planning

A creative eye for food and a passion for team development

Long-term mindset with interest in progressing to Executive Chef

Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance
