About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team at Lucia Tapas Garden in Tugun, QLD 4224. As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen and delivering exceptional Spanish-inspired cuisine. What you'll be doing

Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes

Develop and refine our menu, incorporating innovative Spanish flavours and techniques

Manage and mentor our team of chefs, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards

Collaborate with the management team to optimise kitchen efficiency and profitability

Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

Participate in menu planning and development to align with seasonal produce and customer trends

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role

Proven track record of leading a successful kitchen operation in the hospitality industry

Expertise in Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine, with a strong understanding of flavour profiles and techniques

Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving skills

Strong leadership and team-building abilities to motivate and develop your staff

Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene

Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creating innovative dishes
