Operating nationally, this catering company is one of the largest within Queensland's sector. Currently, this organisation manages local sites ranging from Brisbane to Toowoomba. With continual growth, they require a highly skilled head chef to join their team. This role is a permanent position located at one of their sites in Toowoomba.

Your new role

Your new role will require your skills to be of a high level. Your responsibilities will include bulk cooking for large-scale functions ranging from a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will need to be highly vigilant surrounding allergen protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons, providing nutritious and healthy meals. You must be able to work quickly and in high-pressure situations whilst maintaining an exceptional quality in taste and display both with meals and desserts. You will be required to have a good sense of leadership to provide direction, management and training in the kitchen. The position involves Monday to Friday hours, with weekend work for events.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you must possess the following attributes:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
• Food Safety certificate OR Food safety supervisor certificate
• High-volume catering or bulk cooking, fast-paced commercial kitchen experience
• You will be dedicated to food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Previous experience in elevated dining and high-end function work
• Ability to work unsupervised or within a team environment
• Current working with children's check (blue card) or ability to obtain
• Previous experience in a senior or head chef position
