About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our vibrant team at the Labrador AFL Sports Club in Labrador, Queensland. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading and managing our kitchen operations, creating delicious and innovative menus, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and customer service.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and team management

Develop and implement new menu items that showcase your culinary expertise and align with the club's brand and customer preferences

Ensure consistent high-quality food preparation and presentation

Manage and train a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards

Work closely with the management team to optimise kitchen efficiency and profitability

Represent the club at industry events and promote the culinary brand

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role, preferably in a hospitality or club setting

Formal qualifications

Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu design, and cost control

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a kitchen staff

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of food quality and presentation

A passion for creating innovative and delicious menu items that cater to a diverse customer base

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with the management team and club members
