Open and operating since 2006, we have grown our business to one of the largest independents in the industry across two locations incorporating multiple brands such as; AUW Building Supplies, AUW Architecture, Cladding, Timber and now AUW Promotions.

We proudly supply a wide range of industry leading cladding and building materials to projects across Melbourne, the Peninsula, regional areas and interstate when required.

We are looking for a full time Trade Counter Salesperson to join our External Cladding Store in Preston for an immediate start.

You must be highly motivated, full of energy and not afraid of a fast-paced environment.

About the role:

Full time employment

Monday to Friday, with overtime available

Flexible package offered

Sales focused customer service for all our customers, face-to-face, via phone calls, and email

Processing sales, orders, invoices, payments, stock control, and product enquiries.

A variety of jobs and customer interactions on a daily basis.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy., and sound problem solving and time management skills.

Grow and maintain strong customer relationships.

Liaise with other internal colleagues and branches.

Put stock away as required.

Ad hoc administration and computer work as required.

About you:

Customer service experience is essential, along with confidence, initiative, and enthusiasm.

Previous experience in construction industry is desirable, but not essential.

Knowledge of James Hardie, CSR, BGC, or HEBEL cladding systems preferred, but not essential.

Be comfortable with some manually handling – including lifting up to 20kgs.

Have a strong work ethic, and be willing to learn and develop new skills.

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Participate as a willing and productive member of the team.

Familiar with basic computer operations and ability to learn company’s software.

Friendly, engaging, confident and resilient persona.

Must have Australian work rights.
