About the job:

We are seeking a mature, experienced and empathetic Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. This role involves working every Tuesday from 8:00am to 1:00pm, with additional hours available to cover holiday and sick leave. There is also potential for permanent hours in the future.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming patients and visitors to the centre

Answering and following up on phone calls and email enquiries

Scheduling appointments and maintaining the appointment system

Creating, updating and maintaining patient records

Tidying reception, waiting and treatment rooms

Performing general administrative and office duties

Processing payments, Medicare, DVA, and Work Cover claims

Opening and closing the practice as required

What we're looking for:

Full Australian working rights

Minimum 2 years' experience as a medical receptionist (GP clinic experience preferred)

Proficiency with medical software (Best Practice preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Proactive and calm under pressure, with the ability to manage competing priorities

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
