As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in shaping their experience and helping them feel cared for from the moment they walk through our doors. About the Role
We are seeking a professional and personable Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative and front-desk support, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients.
This is a casual role (1–3 days per week), with the potential to progress to permanent part time for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Meet and greet patients with professionalism and warmth
Manage incoming calls and enquiries
Book and reschedule appointments using Genie Medical Software
Process billing, payments, and issue invoices/receipts
Reconcile bank accounts and handle basic financial administration
Maintain accurate patient records and perform data entry
Provide administrative and secretarial support to Dr Bernard Beldholm & our other surgeons
Assist with general office tasks and support the clinical team as required
Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a professional clinic environment
About You
You are an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. You take pride in your presentation, enjoy working with people, and demonstrate initiative in everything you do.
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a healthcare administration role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to manage a busy workload and multitask effectively
Professional presentation and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Must be available at short notice to cover sick/holiday leave.
Preferred Skills:
Certificate III in Business (Medical Administration) or equivalent
Experience with Genie Medical Software
Remuneration & Hours
$30–$35 per hour (negotiable depending on experience and capability)
Casual (1–3 days per week) with potential for full-time
Incentives and advancement opportunities are available based on performance
