HR, Compliance & Recruitment Lead
Full-Time | Mon–Fri 9:00–5:00 | Work From Home / Face to Face hybrid Role (Sunshine Coast, QLD)
People before numbers. At The Energy – Community and Supports, we empower independence and social inclusion through person-centred, trauma-informed support. We’re growing and need a proactive operator to own HR, compliance, and recruitment—and help us build sustainable systems as we scale.
The Role
Partner directly with the Directors to understand how we operate, then take the reins. You’ll create structure, strengthen compliance, and lead recruitment so frontline teams can focus on delivering high-quality supports. This role is primarily WFH with regular face-to-face collaboration; a local office will follow as we expand.
What You’ll Do
End-to-end HR: onboarding, contracts, VEVO/WWCC/NDIS checks, performance tracking, progression, and leave management.
Recruitment: job ads, screening, interviews, reference checks, onboarding coordination.
NDIS compliance: maintain policies, registers (training, incident, risk, feedback), and ensure audit readiness.
Record-keeping: maintain HR and compliance registers in Google Workspace, ensuring accuracy and version control.
Process improvement: identify gaps, streamline workflows, and develop procedures that strengthen our systems.
Communication: provide regular HR and compliance updates to leadership and support staff engagement initiatives.
You’ll Bring
Strong understanding of the NDIS environment and compliance obligations.
Experience in HR, recruitment, or compliance (community services experience highly regarded).
Organised, detail-driven, and tech-confident with digital tools (Google Workspace, Xero, shared registers, Adobe templates).
Excellent communication, professional judgement, and a values-driven mindset.
Why Join The Energy?
Full-time stability (Mon–Fri, 9–5) with WFH flexibility.
Real ownership to create structure and systems that scale.
Supportive leadership and a genuine, supportive, humorous, people-first culture.
Meaningful impact—your work directly improves participant outcomes.
Salary
$85,000–$100,000 + super (11%), depending on experience and NDIS compliance capability.
3-month probation period applies.
