We are thrilled to announce that the DVPC team is expanding and actively recruiting a highly skilled and passionate Human Resources and Compliance Officer to join the Business Operations Team. This role is vital in supporting a workforce dedicated to domestic and family violence (DFV) services, requiring a deep understanding of the unique challenges and support needs of employees working in trauma-informed environments.

About the role
The HR and Compliance Project Officer coordinates and supports the development and implementation of projects that strengthen DVPC’s human-resource systems, governance frameworks and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, this role works closely with the CEO and Operations Team to ensure that HR and compliance initiatives align with strategic objectives, enhance operational efficiency and maintain legislative and award compliance across the organisation.
This is a full-time (38hrs/week) role.

Salary
SCHADS Award (Qld) Social and Community Services Employee Level 6 or 7, depending on the successful applicant’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
Contract offered will be 12 months.
About you
We are looking for someone with the following key attributes:
Coordinate and deliver projects related to HR systems, policy reviews, and compliance frameworks from inception to completion.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HR information systems (HRIS) and associated processes to streamline workforce data management.
Lead reviews and updates of organisational policies, procedures and employment frameworks to ensure compliance with legislation, industrial instruments and best practice.
Monitor and report on compliance obligations including industrial relations, work health and safety, privacy, training and accreditation requirements.
Conduct internal audits and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement in HR and governance systems.
Collaborate with managers to embed policy changes and build capacity in HR and compliance practice through training and communication.
Assist with the preparation of Board and management reports including progress updates, risk registers and legislative compliance summaries.
Maintain accurate documentation and project records to support auditing and continuous improvement requirements.
Positively represent DVPC and actively model the organisation’s mission, vision and values in all interactions.

The Domestic Violence Prevention Centre (DVPC) is a specialist service which supports women, young people and children who have experienced domestic and family violence. We also deliver the Men's DV Education and Intervention program and convene an Integrated Response group that works with agencies on the Gold Coast to improve collaboration and responses to women and children to enhance their safety and wellbeing.
