As the HR Advisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality HR advice and operational support to staff and managers across UQ Sport. Acting as a trusted point of contact, you’ll provide guidance on a wide range of HR matters, from recruitment and contracts to compliance, policy interpretation and employee relations.
Working within a collaborative HR Client Partnering team, you’ll contribute to continuous process improvement, support the implementation of key HR initiatives, and help enhance the employee experience across UQ Sport. This is a hands-on role where your ability to build relationships, interpret policy and provide pragmatic solutions will make a real impact.

Key responsibilities will include:
Provide clear, accurate and timely HR advice and support to UQ Sport staff and managers across a wide range of employment matters.
Process all job changes by raising and reviewing employee documentation, managing HR system updates, and ensuring HR processes and documentation are compliant
Support the delivery and continuous improvement of HR initiatives, systems and reporting to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted HR partner in driving a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

About You
Holds a degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, with relevant experience providing HR advice and operational support in complex organisations.
Brings sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment frameworks, with the ability to interpret and apply them accurately and confidently.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence outcomes with a wide range of stakeholders.
Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Proficient in HR systems and data management (experience with HumanForce or similar systems will be highly regarded).
Proactive, solutions-focused and committed to continuous improvement and delivering exceptional HR service.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia, criminal check and education check.
