About the Opportunity
Melbourne, though a mature market for this company, still offers significant and timely opportunities for growth. As BDM, you'll own the entire VIC territory and capitalise on years of positive momentum.
This will see you proactively engaging with stakeholders in Compliance, L&D, HR, etc. across diverse and robust industry sectors, including: financial services, non-bank lending, pubs & clubs, mining, construction, utilities, general corporate, law firms, local government, education and more. You'll work with internal teams to deliver bespoke solutions, with typical deal values ranging from $20K to $80K ARR, up to $500K+ - with sales cycles taking anywhere from 1 to 6 months.
Success will see you ramping up in year 1, securing ~$200K-$300K net new ARR, generating $600K-$800K+ from year 2 onward.
Excellent training an ongoing support from their Sydney-based leadership team will ensure your set up to meet and exceed expectations.
About You
To be seriously considered for this role, you'll bring:
5+ years' outbound, client-facing, B2B sales experience in a similar, new client acquisition focused role - with similar deal values, sales cycles and stakeholder-level engagement
A true hunter, you thrive in high-potential, greenfield markets - able to build and maintain your own robust sales pipeline through proactive market mapping, strategic prospecting / cold outreach and consistent weekly sales activity (e.g. you're not reliant on existing networks, relationships or inbound leads)
A background in GRC SaaS, Compliance Training, eLearning, LMS Systems, HR SaaS, EHS SaaS, Business Information, etc. (i.e. you understand how compliance, HR and L&D teams operate) is advantageous but not required
Experience selling online subscription-based solutions (SaaS, Information Platforms, etc.) is also advantageous, with the tech-savvy to run compelling online demos a must
Most importantly, you're self-sufficient, accountable, entrepreneurial, driven and adaptable - able to sell into diverse sectors at multiple levels and hungry to take ownership of your next opportunity (i.e. treating it like your business within a business)
On offer for the successful candidate, a competitive base salary negotiable on experience plus uncapped commissions (with a % paid on every sale). Interviewing now!
