A leading national provider in equipment sales and water management solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager to manage growth and sales activities across Victoria. The position focuses on building existing relationships, identifying new opportunities, and coordinating project delivery in line with company procedures.
The role
This role is responsible for driving new business and expanding existing client accounts across multiple sectors including mining, civil construction, infrastructure, and water treatment. The position requires consistent field engagement with customers, identifying equipment sales opportunities, and developing tailored solutions that meet both operational and technical requirements. The successful candidate will oversee the end‑to‑end sales process — from lead generation and quoting through to project execution support and after‑sales service coordination.
Regular communication with industry stakeholders, site personnel, and internal departments will be required to ensure accurate project delivery and maintain customer satisfaction. The role suits someone with experience selling technical or mechanical equipment solutions who can operate independently while adhering to structured reporting and performance objectives.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and external stakeholders.
Generate leads and convert opportunities within target industries.
Prepare and issue quotations, proposals, and financial records accurately.
Monitor market activity and report competitor trends to management.
Coordinate delivery schedules, project timelines, and documentation.
Ensure communication is maintained throughout the project lifecycle to meet client expectations.
Experience
Minimum 5 years in business development or sales within industrial or equipment sectors.
Experience managing customer portfolios and negotiating contracts.
General understanding of pumps, generators, or related plant equipment.
Ability to work independently in a process-driven environment.
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Capable of meeting deadlines under changing priorities.
On Offer
Base salary ranging from $110k - $125k
Super at 12%
