Mountview Cafe is a local favourite known for hearty breakfasts and crowd-pleasing comfort meals that keep customers coming back. We’re looking for an experienced Cook who can bring consistency, creativity, and energy to our kitchen team.

About the Role

You’ll be hands-on across breakfast and lunch service, from our all day favourite Mountview Big Breakfast and Loaded Croissants to appetising lunch dishes like BBQ Pork Ribs, Steak Burgers, and Prawn & Crab Fettuccine.

We’re after someone who enjoys a busy café service, takes pride in plating, and values teamwork and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a diverse café menu (breakfast and lunch)

Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and hygiene

Assist with prep, stock rotation, and kitchen cleanliness

Support smooth service flow during peak hours

Contribute to menu ideas and seasonal specials

What You’ll Bring

At least 1 year of previous experience as a Cook in a cafe or similar dining setting

Completed qualification in at least Cert III in Commercial Cookery, or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery

Strong knowledge of breakfast and grill-style dishes

Reliable, organised, and calm under pressure

Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team

Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
