About the role

We are seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team at Harbour Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Coffs Harbour, NSW. This is a casual position that will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and medical staff.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival and ensuring a positive first impression of our clinic

Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including booking, rescheduling and cancellations

Answering and directing incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and files

Assisting with medical billing, insurance claims and other administrative tasks as required

Providing a high level of customer service and support to both patients and medical staff

What we're looking for

Experience as a Medical Receptionist or within a similar customer service/administrative role in a healthcare environment (desirable, however not required)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, medical professionals and other stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively

Proficient in using medical practice management software and standard office technology

A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

A positive, friendly and helpful attitude, with a genuine interest in supporting patients and the healthcare team
