Reception / Administration Assistant | Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter Region
An established accounting firm in the Newcastle/Maitland/Hunter area is looking for a Reception / Administration Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone with 12+ months’ experience in accounting or professional services administration, looking to work in a supportive, professional, but relaxed environment.
You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, provide essential administrative support, and help the team run smoothly.

What We’re Looking For
Minimum 12 months’ experience in an administrative or reception role within an accounting or professional services environment
Proficiency with Xero and strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with ASIC and ATO processes or willingness to learn
Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage competing priorities
Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Genuine interest in developing a long-term career in accounting
Key Responsibilities
Administrative support across accounting teams
Prepare invoices, client correspondence, and documentation
Manage client queries via phone, email, and in person
Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance
Assist with workflow tracking and ad hoc tasks
