My client is a well-established mid-sized Chartered Accounting firm located in the Sydney CBD, with a strong reputation for professionalism, quality service and long-standing client relationships. The firm provides a comprehensive range of services and works closely with a diverse client base of high-net-worth individuals, family groups, privately owned businesses, and multinationals.
They are seeking a professional and motivated Administration Assistant to join their administration team of five. Reporting directly to a Practice Manager and working closely with staff across all levels, this role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to various aspects of accounting operations and develop a strong foundation for a long-term career within the firm.
Key responsibilities
Collate, format and finalise tax returns, financial statements and correspondence
Manage ASIC compliance matters, including annual statements, company incorporations, share/address changes and registrations
Lodge tax returns, BAS, IAS, FBT and SMSF documents via relevant portals
Liaise with clients, the ATO, ASIC and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and accuracy
Maintain and update internal client databases and records
Oversee electronic filing systems, ensuring accurate document control and version management
Process disbursements, billing adjustments and data entry
Assist with ad-hoc administrative projects and firm-wide initiatives
About you
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional services environment (accounting, legal or financial services preferred)
Proficient with MYOB, Xero or similar accounting software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
Team-focused, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
