Test Lead – NV1

Test Lead required by a Federal Government Department to deliver and support a range of ICT projects/programs. Test Leads are responsible for leading a small agile testing team as well as being hands on with writing and executing Test Cases, writing the Test Plan and Strategy, and Test reporting.

Preferred locations: Canberra, Brisbane
Other locations: Sydney, Melbourne, or Hobart

(Candidates not in Canberra must be willing to travel to Canberra when required)

Key duties and responsibilities
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Working within multiple development teams to understand the scope of product releases and, within each team, work to develop acceptance criteria based on business objectives, functional requirements, and service level requirements.
• Developing test plans, test scenarios and/or test scripts for a specific release.
• Undertaking testing activities including functional, integration and regression testing for each release cycle.
• Reporting and tracking the resolution of issues as they are found in testing; and assisting with issue triaging.
• Developing test reports.

Essential criteria

• 5+ years dedicated testing experience and 3+ years leadership experience.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience of working in an Agile team. - Strong experience with Backend API testing / interface: REST, JSON, XML.
• Proficiency using tools such as Microsoft Test Manager, Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Strong experience with standalone .Net applications and websites.
• Strong SQL querying ability.
