Emanate Technology is partnering with a mid-sized federal agency who are delivering a high-profile greenfield program focused on cyber security uplift and cloud migration. We’re seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive quality assurance across this critical transformation initiative.

This role offers the opportunity to lead testing strategy and execution across multiple Agile squads, working closely with technical, project, and executive stakeholders to ensure delivery success.

**Due to the nature of this client and program of work all candidates MUST BE CANBERRA-BASED and MUST HOLD AN ACTIVE NV1 CLEARANCE**

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle across Agile teams
• Facilitate daily triage meetings to prioritise and assign defects
• Analyse defect trends and root causes to drive quality improvements
• Ensure consistent severity classifications aligned with risk models
• Act as the central point of contact for defect communications across Agile squads
• Escalate critical issues and contribute to Go/No-Go decisions
• Collaborate with Release Managers to validate defect fixes
• Use DevOps (or similar) for defect tracking and stakeholder dashboards
• Maintain traceability between defects, test cases, and user stories
• Deliver weekly defect status reports with actionable KPIs
• Guide squads on defect prevention and quality uplift practices

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in data quality testing, anomaly detection, and validation across integration and functional layers
• Strong understanding of defect metrics (severity, priority, fix rate, reopen rate) and their impact on delivery risk
• Proven experience across SIT, UAT, and production warranty phases in large-scale digital transformations
• Demonstrated ability to write effective test cases/scripts and configure automation tools
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence developers, BAs, Product Owners, and executives
• Structured thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure delivery environments
