Part-Time Accounts Payable Officer | South Brisbane

We’re partnering with a well-established construction business based in Brisbane’s inner south to recruit a Part-Time Accounts Payable Officer. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexibility and work-life balance within a supportive and down-to-earth finance team.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of accounts payable processes, ensuring supplier and subcontractor invoices are processed accurately and on time. You’ll play a key role in keeping the finance operations running smoothly in a fast-paced but friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of supplier and subcontractor invoices
• Managing subcontractor payment claims and ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met
• Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs
• Reconciling supplier and subcontractor statements and resolving discrepancies
• Responding to supplier and internal queries in a professional and timely manner
• Assisting with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required

About You

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience within construction or a project-based industry will be highly regarded
• Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Must have full working rights in Australia (no visa sponsorship available)
