Breathe Life Sciences Pty Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of ASX listed Bioxyne Limited) is a rapidly growing pharmaceutical product manufacturer located in Meadowbrook, Brisbane.

Due to rapid business expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our team full-time at our Meadowbrook location. This role is pivotal in managing accounts payable and inventory processes for a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing business. You will report to the CFO with support from our Finance Team and local line management.

As a key member of our finance operations, you will ensure accuracy and compliance across payables, inventory, and supplier management. Working closely with Finance, Warehouse and Production teams, you will help maintain efficient financial processes that underpin our success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable

• General accounting duties related to accounts payable and expenditure

• Accurately verify and process creditor invoices in “Xero” daily

• Perform daily bank reconciliations

• Manage invoice approvals and ensure timely data entry

• Verify inventory unit costs in “Unleashed” inventory system

• Match inventory invoices to purchase orders

• Maintain supplier payment logs and monitor payment terms

• Prepare and reconcile daily payments in “Xero” and “Unleashed”

• Generate reports and creditor statements

• Handle corporate credit card reconciliations and ensure funds availability

• Manage expense claim approvals

• Participate in team meetings with Finance, Warehouse and Production Teams

Expenditure Management

• Create and reconcile periodic vendor payments per payment terms

• Handle urgent payments as required

• Process international payments

• Prepare monthly prepayment account reconciliations

• Conduct monthly GST reviews

• Provide expenditure related input for cash flow expenditure forecasts

System Improvement

• Establish and administer accounts payable and expenditure related procedures for use across the company, eg: vendor engagement terms, purchase order and other expense claim procedures, payment approval processes, accurate coding of transactions, inventory matching processes, anti-fraud controls, fixed asset expenditure capture, reconciliation processes, credit card usage and reconciliation, etc

• Active participation in continuous improvement initiatives associated with accounts payable and expenditure activities, eg: related to new ERP system implementation, enhancing financial control and efficiency, etc

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Experience improving to accounting and inventory management processes

• Proficiency in Xero

• Prior experience in Unleased an advantage, with willingness to learn if not held

• Prior experience with AP and Expenditure elements of ERP systems implementations an advantage

• Relevant MS Excel skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, growing business

• Collaborative and friendly team player

• Willingness to undergo a police check
