Accounts Payable Officer | Central Brisbane

We’re currently partnering with a well-established business based in the Brisbane CBD who are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to take ownership of their end-to-end payables function. The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the full accounts payable process from invoice entry through to payment runs and reconciliations. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining supplier relationships, supporting month-end close, and contributing to process improvements across the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end Accounts Payable processing including invoice entry, coding, and approvals
• Preparation and execution of weekly and ad-hoc payment runs
• Supplier statement reconciliations and management of vendor queries
• Assist with month-end closing, accruals, and reporting
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal policies
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency

About You
You’re an experienced AP professional with a strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and excellent communication skills. You enjoy taking ownership of your work, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and delivering high-quality outcomes under deadlines.

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in a full-function Accounts Payable role
• Sound understanding of accounting systems and Excel
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong time management and organisational ability
• Experience with large ERP systems (e.g. TechnologyOne, SAP, or similar) highly regarded
