About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team at Geelong Orthotics' in Geelong, VIC 3220. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and medical staff.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients to the clinic in a warm and friendly manner

Efficiently managing patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations

Handling patient inquiries and addressing their concerns in a timely and professional manner

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and files

Assisting with the preparation of medical reports and other administrative tasks as required

Providing general office support, such as answering phone calls and managing correspondence

Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and presentable at all times

What we're looking for (ideal)

Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role

Minimum 6 months of receptionist or administration experience is required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of patients

Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail

Experience with XERO bill entry

Proficient in using medical software (Halaxy) and a strong interest in being up to date with the latest technology - ESSENTIAL

A friendly, professional and empathetic approach to patient care

A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations

Australian work rights are required for this position
