About the role

We have a part-time Medical Imaging Receptionist position available. This opportunity is available for an individual who is self-motivated, patient focused and possesses well-developed communication skills. You would work closely with the Vascular Sonographers of VUA and receptionists of our Vascular Surgeons.

This part-time role requires 15-20 hours per week.

Key responsibilities include:

Answering phone calls and managing patient enquiries

Booking and scheduling appointments using Gentu (training provided)

Accurately process patient registrations, referrals, and consent forms

Handle billing and payments, Medicare claims, private health fund claims, invoicing, and cash handling with precision

Supporting clinical staff with administrative needs

Other reception and office duties as required

Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of patient records

Essential skills & attributes:

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills both face to face and over the telephone

Professional, empathetic, and patient-focused demeanour

Highly motivated and quick to learn new skills

Ability to work autonomously and within a team

Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail

Able to work independently and in a team

Sound organisational and prioritisation skills

Ability to follow instructions and problem solve

General computer literacy with standard Microsoft/Mac programs knowledge

Desirable:

Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in health administration

Previous experience with Gentu

Experience/knowledge in Medical Imaging
