Family Doctors Plus is a vibrant, busy GP practice. This role is for an Experienced Receptionist.

With the continual growth of the practice an experienced medical receptionist is required to join our team on a Part-time basis.

Duties

Answering phone calls, booking appointments, billing patients, faxing referrals, dealing with patient queries on the phone, checking appointment books, liaising with doctors and allied health, Medicare billing and processing rebates. Pre employment medical bookings/processing. Visa Medical administration. Pay rate is based on experience.

The hours for this role will vary but practice open hours are Monday to Thursday 6.30am - 6.30pm. Friday 6:30am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday 8.30am - 1.30pm. Hours will be as per roster as a part of a team. Some open/close shifts required.

Skills and experience

Experience with a medical software program highly regarded (BP)

Understanding of Medicare and Health funds

Ability to prioritise multiple issues simultaneously and time management essential

Exceptional Customer skills and phone manner

Ability to work autonomously

Attention to detail in a busy environment

Confidentiality awareness in Health care

Empathetic to patients and their needs.
