About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team at the Miami Family Medical Centre. This part-time position will be based in our medical practice in Miami, Queensland. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience and efficient clinic operations.

What you'll be doing

Warmly greeting and checking in patients upon arrival

Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's appointment calendar

Handling patient inquiries and providing exceptional customer service

Maintaining accurate patient records and updating medical charts

Assisting with billing, insurance claims and other administrative tasks

Providing general support to the clinical team as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role within the healthcare industry

Minimum of 2+ years experience in a medical receptionist or healthcare customer service role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, clinicians and colleagues

Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail

Proficiency in using medical practice management software and computer systems

Experience using Best Practice medical practice management software

Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care

Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
