We are seeking an experienced and professional Medical Receptionist to join our established Skin Cancer practice. This role offers an attractive hourly rate of $30–$35 (inclusive of super and allowances) and the opportunity to work within a supportive and patient-focused clinical environment. We have a beautiful practice, newly refurbished with 1.5 FTE doctors on site providing treatment for skin cancer.

About the Role

The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for delivering a high standard of administrative and front-desk support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the practice. The role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for patients

Manage appointment bookings, telephone enquiries, and email correspondence

Process billing, payments, and Medicare claims

Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with privacy standards

Assist clinical staff with administrative and operational requirements

Contribute to a positive and efficient practice environment

About You

Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration desirable

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and compassionate manner

Proficiency with practice management software and Microsoft Office

High level of attention to detail and organisational ability

Ability to prioritise tasks in a busy clinical setting
