Project Manager – Strategic Projects

About the role
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you’ll coordinate and deliver a diverse portfolio of projects across housing, land development, infrastructure, tourism, energy, commercial ventures, and environmental/cultural initiatives. You’ll manage the full lifecycle from feasibility and business case, through design, procurement, and delivery, to close-out, embedding YSRC governance, cultural values and strategic objectives throughout.

Key responsibilities

Lead housing and land development projects, including feasibility and due diligence.

Coordinate enabling infrastructure delivery; manage contractors, WHS and procurement.

Support cultural and tourism initiatives with strong Traditional Owner and stakeholder engagement.

Contribute to commercial ventures and new opportunity business cases.

Advance energy/sustainability initiatives across YSRC’s programs.

Support environmental & cultural programs, including the Indigenous Protected Area Project, in close consultation with Rangers and other partners.

Establish PM frameworks (plans, budgets, schedules, risk registers) and prepare reports for Boards/Committees.

About you (selection criteria)

Demonstrated project management/coordination experience—ideally housing, construction or infrastructure.

Strong organisation, financial and risk skills; ability to juggle multiple priorities.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication; experience with Traditional Owners/Aboriginal Corporations.

Clear communicator, able to produce and deliver reports, presentations and business cases.

Desirable: relevant tertiary qualifications; knowledge of procurement/contract management; regional WA delivery experience.

Role details

Location: Geraldton, with site engagement across the Midwest.

Salary: $120,000 – $135,000 + super, plus additional benefits (commensurate with experience).

Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer.
