Ardee Civil is a specialist civil infrastructure company delivering high-quality water, wastewater, stormwater and Civil Infrastructure Projects across Sydney. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Payroll & Accounts Officer to join our supportive and growing team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy and organisation, and is eager to contribute to continuous improvement across our finance and administration functions.

The Role

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring seamless financial operations across the business. This is a full-time, office-based role in our Alexandria office, with initial training provided at our Newington office.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

Manage the full end-to-end creditors process

Record invoices, obtain approvals, and process payments

Reconcile accounts and onboard new suppliers

Lead improvements to AP processes

Accounts Receivable

Issue and reconcile invoices against contracts

Manage debtors, reconciliations, and outstanding payments

Maintain accurate client records in key systems

Oversee over/under payment management

Drive efficiency in AR processes

Payroll

Process end-to-end payroll for 30 Plus employees

Review and log timesheets using Assignar

Establish and implement best practice payroll processes

Bookkeeping & Administration

Complete bank reconciliations and general bookkeeping

Assist with procurement and office requirements

Support management with general administrative duties

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who:

Brings a positive, open, and collaborative attitude

Demonstrates strong attention to detail and excellent time management

Has proven experience managing creditors and debtors

Is proficient with Excel and confident in handling data

Has prior experience with payroll and bookkeeping

Ideally has working knowledge of Xero
