This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll and Accounts Payable Officer to work in an established construction company on Sydney's North Shore

This is a permanent full-time position so does require someone with Permanent Residency or Citizenship

This role will be processing end to end Payroll and overseeing the Accounts Payable function. This role has one direct report of the Accounts Payable Officer.

The Role:

• Oversee the Accounts Payable function including:
• Setting up new suppliers
• Seeking invoice approvals
• Enter purchase orders into system
• Matching invoices to purchase orders
• Generating payment runs weekly and end of month
• Account and credit card reconciliation
• Mentoring and guiding the Accounts Payable Officer
• Take ownership of the Payroll function:
• Processing end-to-end payroll, including all relevant payments and statutory obligations
• Maintaining employee records such as new hires, terminations, pay adjustments and leave
• Preparing payroll reconciliations, reports, and financial summaries to support management and compliance
• Responding to payroll enquiries and producing reports as needed

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience within a Senior Payroll and Accounts Payable position
• Demonstrated experience with Payroll processing within the Construction Industry
• Working knowledge of large ERP systems specific to the Construction Industry and MS Excel
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
