What we're looking for:
As an Accounts Officer, you will gain hands-on experience across a range of finance functions. Supporting key operational activities such as data entry, premium processing and account reconciliations. You will contribute to accuracy and efficiency of our finance processes. Candidates must have 1-2 years of accounting or finance experience.
Australian work rights are essential for this position.
MYOB accounting software experience is required.
Immediate start availability is required.
What you'll be doing:
Perform basic data entry and maintain accurate records of reinsurance premiums
Assist in processing incoming and outgoing premiums under the guidance of senior staff
Support monthly and ad-hoc reconciliation and administrative activities
Accurately receipt and allocate funds
Prepare reports and escalate discrepancies as required
Maintain compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
Collaborate with internal stakeholders for transaction clarification and documentation
Preparing quotes and invoicing customers
The skills we are looking for:
Insurance industry experience
2-3 years of experience in an administration (accounts/finance related)
Proficient in MS Excel
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage routine tasks effectively
Assist with the implementation of office policies and procedures
Coordinate with external service providers(e.g. IT Support) as required
Provide general administrative assistance to ensure smooth workflows across the office
Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally within a professional services environment
Knowledge of payroll, reconciliation, accounts payable, and trust account processes
Skills and experience overseeing office operations
Process payroll and maintain leave & entitlement records
Perform day-to-day bank reconciliations
Process accounts payable and manage creditor payments
Assist with general financial administration tasks as required
