The Stolen Gem, perched above Bourke Street with one of the most iconic views in the Melbourne CBD — is on the lookout for an experienced Bar Manager (or a standout Bar Supervisor ready to step up) to help take our venue to the next level.

We’re a rooftop cocktail bar known for our elevated drinks offering, vibrant atmosphere, and a young, enthusiastic team that’s passionate about delivering top-tier hospitality. You’ll be working closely with our Venue Manager and our sister venues to help build a high-performing team and strong, efficient operations.

What do you do?

Creating amazing cocktails and additions to the menu as it constantly evolves throughout the seasons and growth of the venue

Assist in the training/hiring and growth of an ace team of bartenders

Motivation and drive for a high level of premium service

Bring your knowledge and passion of all things bar and cocktails to the venue

Have an eye for detail and keep a clean and well maintained environment

Be friendly, patient and self motivated during every stage of service

Assist in the set up and pack down of the bar

Knowledge in stock management and ordering

This is an in service role, expect to work nights and weekends

What do you need?

2+ years experience in cocktail bartending in late night venues or restaurant service

Be a hands on team player and motivator, able to set goals, assist in leading the team in achieving tasks and maintaining a high level of efficiency during service

Stock management/stocktake and ordering experience preferred, but not essential

The drive for creativity and an interest in learning through in-house training and development programs

Cocktail, spirit, beer, wine and other beverage knowledge is preferred

Genuine enjoyment working in a team environment

Passion for a bar environment and customer service

Hold a valid Victorian RSA certificate

A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
